Matthew Johnston, President
Matt started in the construction industry as a professional welder, providing his services to jobs throughout the Southeastern US. While working in the field, Matt saw the need for qualified metal building erectors. It was then that the plan for Alpha Labor Co was derived. In addition to Alpha’s metal building services, Matt believes in giving back to the community. In 2022, hurricane’s Ian and Nicole hit Florida hard. Matt dispatched multiple crews to assist senior citizens put up and take down shutters. Since its inception in 2021 the company has thrived and earned its reputation for quality, excellence and community stewardship.

Mimi Osborn, Office Manager
Following a long career, travelling the world as a Certified Anti-Money Laundering specialist, in 2021 Mimi gave up financial crime investigation and joined Alpha Labor. She also holds a PMP, Project Management Professional, certification. She manages all aspects of the office operation. She continually improves our processes and work flows and is an integral part of our operation.

According to the US Chamber of Commerce, the pandemic caused a major disruption in America’s labor force—something many have referred to as The Great Resignation where more than 47 million workers quit their jobs.
Forbes reports that the industries hit the hardest were transportation, manufacturing, and construction. Fifty-eight percent of construction industry owners reported significant or moderate lost sales opportunities due to staffing shortages. Worse yet, sixty percent (60%) of construction business owners reported not being able to fill a position(s).
